AI upscaling uses a neural network trained on millions of image pairs to intelligently reconstruct missing detail when enlarging an image — much better quality than simple pixel interpolation.
We support 2x and 4x upscaling. Using 4x internally with Swin2SR and optionally down-sampling to 2x for faster processing. Output quality is highest at 4x.
